Adora Model Management: The Key to Success

How to Dress for Castings

One thing that Adora Model Management keep getting asked by less experienced models is, "What should I wear?" Now, castings are no different to job interviews in many respects. Dress appropriately to the casting in a style that relates to the brand, but don’t over-do things. Arrive on time and be confident during the audition. Network with people and get to know a little bit about what they do, including the other male models. Adora Model Management tell all their models how important networking is. Talk to the casting staff to find out more about the project, but avoid being too intrusive with your questions and act in a calm manner.

This not only helps your chances in getting the job, but helps you make important contacts that could help you later in your career. After the audition, resist the temptation to call the casting staff or agency to inquire about your chances of getting the job. If they’re interested, they’ll call you.

If you are falling behind with your workouts consider hitting the gym to get into peak shape and work toward improving your physical appearance. Male models don’t necessarily need to be thin. Work towards being muscular, but overly big, unless the job asks for a bulkier appearance. However, avoid dangerous diets and intensive workouts. Consider hiring a personal trainer to help get you in peak physical shape before your audition. Find out more about Adora Model Management from the video below.

Drink lots of water. Lights are very dehydrating at times. For a few days before the shoot avoid alcohol, caffeine and spicy food. They can quicken dehydration and affect your skin.

Don't use too much conditioner beforehand as it can affect any products the on-set stylist might need to use.

Exfoliate your face and lips on the morning of the shoot and keep some lip salve handy in case of drying. Also, check that you have no awkward tan lines that will be visible on set. Try to find out exactly what you will be modelling if you haven't already been briefed.

Adora Model: Model Tips

Adora Model Management: Facing the Camera

Smile like you mean it and forget fake, exaggerated cheesers in favour of your natural, relaxed smile. When trying for the most original of looks, think of something funny just as the camera clicks.

To avoid a double chin, always have the right camera angle. When the camera is pointing down the way, your face looks leaner and your jawline is more defined.

When the lens is at eye-level, stick your chin out slightly more than normal so as to better avoid any extra chins .

For extra glow in your photos, enhance the whiteness of your teeth with whiteners. For kissable lips, apply a layer of sheer lip gloss and away you go.

For a more put-together, model-like grin, go for maximum gum coverage and hide more teeth than you would show during a good laugh. A natural smile sets a successful model apart.
